Partyline: KB701 unit howls when talk key is released

A KB 701 connected to a CCI-22 in a Eclipse Median. There is a short but extremly loud acoustic feedback after disengage (releasing) the talk button.

Answer: The audio feed back problem can happen if you have too many terminations or NO termination on the PL line The KB701 is a push to talk or push to listen…. When you let go of the mic button in the PTT mode, for just an instant, the mic will see the speaker and if the termination is off, the KB will howl..     If the termination is in  place, you will not notice it.Make sure there is only ONE termination on the PL mainstation or PSU set to one the intercom channel (only one termination per channel)
