Matrix: How to change the IP connection type at a V-Series panel

By default the IP connection type is defined in ECS individually for every V-Series IP panel. However there may be circumstances where this setting is better changed at the individual panel itself rather than at the matrix by a configuration change. Here is how you change the IP connection type at a V-Series panel:
It is recommended to change the IP connection type if you experiencing choppy audio at the V-series panel, the changes affect bandwidth used and also the internal buffers
1. Enter the maintenance mode
    • If the panel is already connected to a matrix, press MENU at the the panel followed by pressing the AUX volume rotary encoder (INFO). For panels prior to release 1.21 (main application version), press MENU followed by pressing and holding MENU for about 7 seconds.
    • If the panel is currently not connected to a matrix, press the LOCAL MENU key displayed on one of the V-Series OLED displays
2. Enter IP SETUP3. Enter NET SETUP4. Enter CON TYPE5. Select any of the following to change the connection type to
  • DEFAULT will assume the connection type defined by the V-Series IP panel port in ECS
  • LAN will set the connection type to LAN mode, overriding the ECS setting
  • WAN will set the connection type to WAN mode, overriding the ECS setting
  • INTERNET will set the connection type to INTERNET mode, overriding the ECS setting
6. Exit the menu by selecting CON TYPE on the reply key. This will have the panel reconnect to the matrix if already connected and save the setting to memory.
The setting will be stored in the panel's non-volatile memory. Changing the setting for the panel in ECS will have no effect on the panels connection type unless the connection type is set to DEFAULT at the panel, following the above steps.
