Matrix: V-Series rotary panels not working properly in IFB assignment mode after upgrade to V8.5.1

Question:  I have an Eclipse HX frame that was recently upgraded from v8.0.0 to v8.5.1.  We use two V-Series panels in IFB assignment mode to assign IFB talent feeds dynamically.  When the system was set up with v8.0 IFB assignment panel mode worked properly, go into assign mode and select a talent destination, then select the program audio feed to assign to it.  Now with v8.5.1, when we go into IFB assignment mode with the panel the red talent keys work as before, but after the destination is selected the green audio source keys do not light up for assignment.  Can you help solve this for us?
Answer:  Check the following on the two panels used for IFB assignment mode in EHX software panel programming mode:
  • The green audio program source keys on the two panels, if they have IFB in the lower right hand corner (of the key display) then these are not the correct keys for assigning sources in IFB assignment mode.  Replace these keys with the interface audio source listen keys instead.
If the Key type is showing IFB , then the key is the virtual IFB key and not the real audio source port that you want to use in the IFB assignment

  • When upgrading an existing <8.0.0 EHX system to v8.5.1, the configuration layout will not import the correct green listen / audio source keys on global IFBs.
The virtual IFB listen keys will be populated on the panels, so remove these keys and replace them with the real interface audio port listen keys.
