IP Concert: How do I backup a Concert server configuration?

From time to time you need to backup your Concert Server EMS database -(example before an update or if changing Server PCs)
Also if your having issues with your Concert system. Clear-Com may request a copy of your Concert database and Concert Client setup.

Backing up your Concert Server EMS database
Solution update: This process has been superseded - please see other solutions on how to back up your Concert server 1) On the concert server PC
a. navigate to /usr/local/clearcom/concert/pgsql
b. run the backup.bash script (in the file browser double click it and select run in terminal)
c. Navigate to /var/lib/pgsql/backups
d. Copy the backupfile off the server (use a USB stick – or over a net work)
e. The backup file will be of the format 20081208_1027.sql.gz
f. Please send this file – it is a backup of your Concert configuration

2) On the concert client PC
a. Goto c:\program files\concert
b. Copy the softpanel.ini file
c. Zip the softpanellog directory
d. Send Clear-Com both these files
