Matrix: ECS 5.2.4 application software causes an exception error on startup on a Win 7 64bit machine

Question:  32 bit Eclipse ver 1.160.1.27030 will not install on my 64 bit Windows 7 laptop. Can you give me a way of installing? Tried compatibility method and I get an exception error.  Same problem when I try to use the standalone "EclipseConfigurationSystem.exe" file, the splash screen starts up and indicates that it is loading, but it gets stuck and eventually an error message is displayed.
Answer:  ECS 5.2.4 single user installation can be accomplished two ways:
1.  There is an installer for Windows XP 32 bit systems, use this version when installing on this platform (ECSSetup_x86.exe).  It cannot be used on Windows 7 64 bit platforms, attempting to install it on a 64 bit system will result in the following error message:

2.  The other standalone file "EclipseConfigurationSystem.exe" is designed to be used as a drag and drop executable file placed on the desktop of a Windows 7 64 bit platform.  To find this file the user has to explore the ECS 5.2.4 DVD for the above mentioned file in the ECS folder / standalone folder.

Once the standalone EclipseConfigurationSystem.exe is dropped onto the Windows 7 64 bit platform if the file executable hangs up or if it throws an error message (see screen shot below) while loading then the Xenocode file may need to be deleted / renamed so that any previous instances of ECS are not recognized.

In order to access and rename the Xenocode folder follow these steps to access the Xenocode folder on the PC:
To find the Xenocode folder:
Find the C:\Users\local user folder
Find the local user name and open this folder. Click on the Organize tab and from the drop down list select “Folder and search options” and from the Folder Options dialog screen select the View Tab and click on “Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives” and click on “OK”.
The “AppData” folder should now be viewable. Open this folder and find and open the “Local” folder. Find the Xenocode folder and rename it “Xenocode.old”.
After this is completed try the EclipseConfigurationSystem.exe again and see if ECS opens properly.
The Xenocode folder gets installed behind the scenes when ECS 5.2.4 is installed as a standalone file onto the PC desktop.  This tool can be used to package conventional software applications for Microsoft Windows in a portable application format that can be delivered via a single executable.
