The analog version of the ICS-92 series panel uses a COM-1A module, part # 710464.
The analog version is equipped with an RJ-45 connector for CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable and a DB-15 connector for non CAT-5 cable.
Early generation ICS-92 series panels can be equipped with a COM-1 module (CC part #710291), this version of the panel doesn't have an RJ-45 on the com module, only a DB-15 connector. Many users still use CAT-5 cable with these panels by inserting an DB-15F to RJ-45 adaptor adapter (CC part #770019).
Some COM-1 modules are capable of flash upgrades with the frameIn frame
In order to determine if a specific panel is capable of a flash firmware upgrade The top dust cover of the panel must be removed and the version of the COM-1 module determined.
COM-1 rev. D modules will accept flash upgrades, verify that D1-4 and R20-23 are installed directly behind the DB-15M connector.
COM-1 rev. A modules will not have these parts and is not capable of a flash upgrade. To upgrade the firmware on a panel with this series of Com card the EPROM will need to be replaced.
