Which ports should be open on a managed network?

When installing the Gemini system on a managed network or if the PC serving has a firewall enabled. The following ports will need to be opened.

The list below contains the TCP/IP functions that can be used by the Gemini/Messenger system. The specified port numbers are the factory defaults and the port numbers can be changed by the Administrator in the Gateway Editor if required.

When installing the Gateway Editor and Database Supervisor on a P.C. a script runs automatically and opens the ports highlighted in bold text.

  • UDP 2076 control and signaling.
  • UDP 2077 voice packets.
  • UDP 2078 signaling when using FXO, FXS or E&M telephone interfaces.
  • UDP 2079 voice packets when using FXO, FXS or E&M telephone interfaces.
  • TCP 12005 management database data port.
  • TCP 12006 management database control port.
  • TCP 13001 management Database Supervisor port.
  • TCP 6822 Virtual Panel to host connection.
  • UDP 5060 SIP call port when the SIP feature is enabled.
  • UDP 10000 SIP RTP/RTCP port when the SIP feature is enabled.
  • TCP 5060 SIP call port when the SIP feature is enabled.
  • TCP 80 Web Server.
