Clear-Com: Best practice when connecting two Ethernet switches when using Clear-Com IPT / ST2110 (AES67) systems

In this switch topology of this diagram, we recommend creating a second trunk line between the two Ethernet-switches and transmit AoIP/ST2110 including PTP traffic on a separate VLAN instead of having only one trunk line to transmit all VLAN content.

If possible, separate the Clear-Com equipment onto a separate VLAN without any other manufacturers’ equipment. The advantage of doing this is to ensure the stability of our equipment connection and make future troubleshooting easier.
