Why can't I change Matrix Slot Banks from my EHX software?

The Eclipse matrix has four “slots” that can hold individual project maps, so one can store and change maps without needing a computer.
However, the slots can only be activated by using the CONFIG button on the active CPU card. We can assign config maps with EHX, but you can only change the map that is active on the frame with that config button.
