What level of dB attenuation can the LQ 2W auto-null achieve

Analogue 2W Partyline nulling is required to reduce echo and distortion on the 2W circuit

The LQ 2W auto-null circuit can achieve approx 60dB of attenuation

Run auto-null on all LQ 2wire ports

When nulling make sure all talk buttons are OFF on all external partyline systems

  • Auto-null: You must perform auto-null when any change in the connected 2-wire equipment occurs or there is a significant temperature change.

Expand port sections and click on the Auto-Nulling button for each port

The auto-nulling operation emits a loud hiss on the circuit. Do not wear headsets during the nulling process

When auto-nulling, ensure that all talk buttons on external Partyline devices are turned off.

General guidance If you're getting feedback or howlround on your PL system there are number of possible causes

  • Cause 1: Listen Level control at this station or a Remote Station is set too high.

  • Cause 2: Sidetone Null control at this station or a Remote Station is not adjusted correctly.

  • Solution 2 : please adjust the sidetone or Null PL channel on this Station

  • Cause 3: Channel un-terminated.

  • Solution 3: Set the Main Station or Power Supply termination switch for that channel to the ON position. There should be only one termination per intercom channel

  • Cause 4: A headset extension cord was used.

  • Solution 4: Headset extension cords are not recommended as they can cause pickup between the headset mic and head-phones
