Listen to ST2110 streams using VLC media play

It is possible it listen to SINGLE channel ST2110 streams using the popular VLC media player

install VLC onto your PC https://www.videolan.org/

  • search the VLC forum for updates tips on how to use VLC to monitor RTP streams

 

VLC can open SDP files and use simple sound monitor switching from the playlist.

  • Only supports single channel ST2110 streams

  • Make sure the RTP port number (default 5004) is a even number in the SDP file

  • This tip is only used for audio confidence measurements as the PC and VLC do no use PTP
