HelixNet CAT cable pinout for a 3pin XLR connector

When connecting shielded Category cable to an 3pin XLR connector, use the following pinout.

Make sure to  not short the XLR casing to pin1.

Shielded CAT cable has a drain-

Drawback is most CAT cable is solid conductor not stranded-

You'll have to search for stranded if it has to be portable.

For in-wall or any installation then solid would be fine -
