LQ: How to Setting a Static IP Address.

Setting a Static IP on the LQ

Before starting, make sure CCM is accessible. If CCM cannot be reached, complete the initial CCM access steps first - https://clear-com.atlassian.net/wiki/x/FQBNKAE

This section explains how to change the LQ from DHCP or link-local access to a fixed static IP address after you can already access CCM.

  1. Open a web browser on the PC.

  2. Enter the current LQ IP address - e.g 192.168.1.100

    • Default Username: admin

    • Default Password: [Check the LQ Front panel menu > Networking > CCM Password> ]

  3. Upon login go to Device > Network

  4. Change the IP mode from DHCP to Static.

  5. Then enter the desire IP Address: Example below

    • LQ IP address: e.g 192.168.1.50

    • Subnet mask: e.g 255.255.255.0

    • Gateway: e.g 192.168.1.1

  6. Wait for the LQ network settings to update.

  7. Enter the new LQ IP address in your browser after the network settings have been updated.

The static IP setup is successful when:

  • The LQ Front Panel shows the new static IP address.

  • The CCM login page opens using the new LQ IP address.

  • You can log in to CCM successfully.

If CCM cannot be reached after changing IP

Check:

  • The browser is using the new LQ IP address.

  • The static IP address was entered correctly.

  • The LQ and PC are connected to the correct switch/VLAN.

  • The PC IP address is in the same subnet as the LQ.
