Issue

An external endpoint (MS-702) can send and receive audio through LQ, but when it sends a Call signal, the Eclipse panel does not show the Call tally.

This usually means the Call signal is reaching LQ, but EHX is not passing it to the target panel or direct.

If audio works and the Call signal appears in LQ, this usually indicates an EHX signaling configuration issue, not a hardware fault.

The Call signal is reaching LQ, but the required EHX Preset Call crosspoint is not enabled between the LQ path and the target matrix panel.

In Eclipse HX, this is controlled by Preset Call under Local Advanced settings. If the required Preset Call crosspoint is disabled, audio still works, but the Call indication does not pass through.

Preset Call is intentionally controlled in EHX so external Call events do not automatically trigger unwanted tallies, alerts, or control behavior elsewhere in the system.

Solution:

Enable the required “Preset Call” crosspoint in EHX -

  1. Open EHX.

  2. Go to Configuration > Local Advanced > Preset Call.

  3. Find the source associated with the LQ signal path.

  4. Find the destination panel, port, or direct that should receive the Call signal.

  5. Right click and Enable the Preset Call crosspoint for that path.

  6. Apply or download the updated map to the matrix

After enabling the Preset Call crosspoint:

  • Send a Call signal from the external endpoint.

  • Confirm that LQ still shows incoming Call activity.

  • Verify that the panel now shows the expected Call tally or indication.

  • If the Call indication now appears, the issue was the missing Preset Call crosspoint in EHX.

Notes

  • This behavior is commonly caused by signaling configuration, not by a failed LQ, E-IPA, or panel.

  • Preset Call is a Local Advanced function in EHX and must be configured intentionally.

  • This design helps prevent external Call signals from triggering unwanted panel tallies, alerts, or control actions across the matrix.

If you test only with audio, the system may appear fully operational even though the Call signaling path is incomplete. Always test both audio and Call when validating LQ-to-Matrix integrations.
