Matrix: How to Move an E-IPA Card to Another Slot

Use this procedure to move an E-IPA card configuration to a different slot in an Eclipse frame without rebuilding the card manually.

Question:

How can an E-IPA card be moved to another slot in an Eclipse Median frame without manually rebuilding the card configuration?

Answer:

In EHX 13.0 (or later), the Move option may not appear because Allow Move and Paste cards is disabled by default.

To enable the Move Card feature, you will have to go to Settings to enable this feature.

Rear cards are not hot-pluggable.

  • Save the current EHX configuration before starting.

  • Make sure the destination slot is available.

  • After moving the card in EHX, move the physical front card to the matching slot and Apply Map to Matrix or Ctrl + D.

Result

The E-IPA card configuration is moved to the new slot without having to recreate the full card configuration manually.
