Arcadia - Program Audio Routing
Q: Hello, I have a Clear-Com Arcadia station with Freespeak II beltpacks and helixnet beltpacks. I also have a 12-button eclipse panel VI-PNLB-12P that I want to use for my director. We also have 6 IFBs that we plan to use in conjunction with the eclipse panel.
My current issue I’m running into is program audio feeds. Obviously, you can set a program input either via port 8 on the back of the Arcadia station or through Dante. If I wanted to have a separate program feed for my directors’ eclipse panel, am I able to do that? Then have the program feed for my beltpacks be something else?
A: Yes, this is fully supported. Using Arcadia R4.1 or later. We can configure different IFBs using different IFB-Sources and IFB-Destinations
Shown in the figure: D1 and D2 are placed on the Vpanel, while D3 and D4 are assigned to the wireless beltpack.
See Arcadia: What is IFB and How to Make it Work on how to configure IFBs on Arcadia
Q: The other question I have is can you route the Arcadia program input to the Helix Net beltpacks? I can do it on my freespeak beltpacks, but I don’t see a way to do it for my Helix Net ones.
A: Yes,HelixNet beltpacks receive PGM audio via standard Partyline Channels. You must create a dedicated Partyline channel in the CCM that bridges the PGM Input to the HelixNet devices.
Limitation: In the current Arcadia architecture, HelixNet user stations cannot be natively added as endpoints to an IFB (Interruptible Foldback) route.
Workaround: You must utilize standard Channels rather than the IFB routing architecture to distribute program audio to HelixNet endpoints.
Note: It is highly recommended to verify that the Arcadia firmware is updated to the latest stable release prior to deployment to ensure full feature compatibility.
