Matrix: Chirpy audio on IVC trunklines using E-IPA card

Matrix: Chirpy audio on IVC trunklines using E-IPA card

We have IP trunk lines between our London to New York offices

We are hearing chirpy audio one way between London and NY ,

NY to London sounds clean

The VPN link between the sites had enough bandwidth to allow for 32 trunk lines at 256Kbp per trunk line

All London IVC panels sound clean when talking to each other locally

After investigation

  • We found that the E-IPA LAN 1 (Admin / IVC) port LED was showing Orange - meaning it  was running at 100mb (see below)

  • The ETH-switch port the E-IPA card was connected to had been set and forced to 100MB

After changing the ETH-switch port setting over to 1GB port , the IPA card LAN 1 port LED turned green and no more chirpy audio was heard
