Matrix: How do I configure FS ICON in HX v14.1 or higher

Customer just purchased some FS ICONS and IP Antennas to add their ssytem , They had old E1 antennas but will replace them with IP antennas

We cannot find the FS ICON (8 key beltpack) option

 

Setting up AES67 compliant network for the IPTs

  • Make sure the IP network is AES67 compliant 

  • Use only PTP aware ethernet switches which are either Boundary Clock or Transparent clock enabled 

  • Setup the QoS and IGMP 

  • Make sure the IPA LAN # 3 port (AES67) is using a fixed IP address (not 169.254.x.x) the IPTs can use fixed IP or DHCP 

  • Use switches that support 1Gb ports  

  • Uses a dedicated set of network switches for the IPT only , no other traffic (no Dante, no admin or control, NOTHING ELSE only IPT and IPA Lan 3 connected to the network )

 

 

  1. Add beltpack ports to the IPA card AND Register your FS ICON BP

  1. Goto EHX > transceivers page and add IPT to the IPA card manually (using IPT mDNS name) or auto-detect

  1. Create a role and select the FSII 8 key version

  1. Program keys on ICON role

  1. download the map
