LQ: Stopped connecting to GEN-IC after July 2026

LQ: Stopped connecting to GEN-IC after July 2026

Some customers may experience their LQs not connecting to GEN-IC after July 2026

This is due to the LQ's SkyPort authentication token expiring. After that date, the LQ will lose its Gen-IC linked group connection until re-registered.

Corrective Actions and Instructions:

Clear-Com has identified and contacted the limited number of affected customers of this potential loss of service

However if you do encounter this problem, follow these steps

Re-registering takes under 15 minutes and restores the connection automatically.

Before you begin

The account or workspace owner/admin who registered the LQ must do this - they'll need access to both the LQ and SkyPort.

See  How do I register my LQ device to Gen-IC

Steps:

  1. Save the LQ configuration

  2. Unregister the LQ from SkyPort

  3. Remove the LQ from SkyPort workspace dashboard (if still listed)

  4. Register LQ to SkyPort again

  5. Move the LQ back to its original workspace

  6. Restore the LQ data

Once complete, the Gen-IC link re-establishes on its own - no further action needed.
