Upgrading V-Series Iris panels by USB
This applies to V-Iris panels connected by analogue MVX, IVC, or AES67.

Rename the xxxx.tar.gz file to IRIS.gz and place it in the root file of your USB stick.

new firmware file is changed to xxxx.ccf file. just Rename it to IRIS.ccf
Insert the USB into the connector on either the front or the back of the Iris panel and follow the panel menu as usual.

 

Local Menu > USB Update
Note: Only connect a single USB device to the panel during the upgrade.


If the Iris panels are connected via AES67, you also have the option to centrally upgrade the Iris panels using the EHX PC upgrade method.

V-Iris panel upgrade can take upto 10mins: When upgrading a V-Iris panel via EHX download or using a USB memory stick, please allow upto 10 mins for the upgrade to totally complete.

During the upgrade process the panel may reboot several times and not show any indication on its display (display is blank) while the upgrade is still taking place.

At the beginning of the upgrade the menu button will be flashing blue. But, once it reboots, the menu button will be solid blue while upgrading the FPGA.

Failure to allow the full 10mins may result in the Panel FPGA upgrade not completing and making the panel inoperable.

  • known issue with wrongly upgraded FPGA - no audio in / out of the panel

Please be patient and allow upto 10 mins for the V-Iris panels software upgrade to totally complete.
