Arcadia GPI 1 and 2 Wiring

Arcadia GPI 1 and 2 Wiring

To wire the GPIs on the Arcadia, first jumper Pin 4 (A1 or A2) to the 12V supply on Pin 9.

This supplies voltage to the Arcadia to Trigger GPI 1 or GPI 2 when the corresponding contact, Pin 5 (B1 or B2), is closed to ground (DB9 shield).

The only tricky part of this setup is the ground connection—there is no dedicated ground pin. Ground must be tied to the DB9 shield/shell.

Pin 5 and the DB9 shield should be wired to your external contact closure (e.g., a footswitch). When the contact closes, the 12V is routed to the Arcadia, triggering the GPI.

A1/B1 are used for GPI 1, and A2/B2 are used for GPI 2.
