Question: What is partyline turnaround in EHX?

Answer: The "Partyline turnaround" feature is a global port option in the Clear-Com Eclipse HX matrix configuration software (EHX). It can be enabled via the checkbox on any direct port (e.g. analog 4-wire, IVC or AoIP). The checkbox is located in “Cards and Ports” screen under global port options, when a direct port is selected (see picture below).

Any other ports that talk or listen to this port are then automatically enrolled in a “hidden” partyline (conference call).

 

This means that any other port that can listen to this direct port can also hear every other port that talks to this port.
