Matrix: Installing WinAgents TFTP Server on Windows 11 to manually upgrade E-QUE/IVC-32 cards

    • Install Win-Agents TFTP server from the EHX 14.1 Firmware package.

    Navigate to the 3rd party directory:

    EHX v14.1 Firmware\EHX.14.1.0A\3rd_Party_Software\EQue TFTP Server App

    Install the files provided (Image 1).

    Wait for the WinAgents installer to complete, it can take some time to install.

    Once the installer completes, you should be able to start the server using the TFTP Server Manager App in Windows. It should look like below when started (Image 2)

    Make sure the TFTP Server is running, start it if needed. Make sure no other TFTP Server application is blocking the port. Connect to the Local server using the Application Menu and select Server → Connect (Image 3).

    You should now see the following dialogue (Image 4)

    Press OK in the Connect to TFTP Server dialogue to connect to the Local server.

    You should see the main application window again. Now change the default Virtual Folder location by selecting the Manage Virtual Folders button (Image 5).

    Important: By default the virtual root folder entry points to the following path:

    C:\ProgramData\WinAgents\TFTP Server 4\TFTPRoot\

    This is a hidden directory in Win11 by default (Image 6).

    We need to change that location to something more useful.

    Create a folder in your C:\ drive named TFTP-EQUE and store the files needed for the upgrade in that folder.

    Important: Rename the upgrade image file removing the .image extension as otherwise the file will not be found by the TFTP Server.

     

    Modify the default path entry to point to that folder by using the Edit… button.

    Now close the dialogue using the Close button (Image 7).

    You should now be seeing the correct files in the main application window (Image 8).

    You successfully installed and setup WinAgents on Windows 11. Now please proceed upgrading your card as mentioned in the Upgrade Guide document provided within the Firmware Archive for EHX 14.1.
