Cisco: 9300 Boundary Clock PTP settings

    • Cisco 9300 has a PTP limitation where the fastest announce interval is 0 (1 second).

    You will need to change IPA PTP settings to match.  

    PTP settings are as follows:-

    If using in BC mode, the PTP GM , IPA card and Cisco 9300 PTP setting must all match

    Note that the Cisco default for SYNC INTERVAL is 0.  The IPA and Mentor default value is -3 (AES Media Profile). 

    We've found setting the 9300 to '-3' SYNC INTERVAL improved PTP sync (max offset plot improved)
