GEN-IC: How to manage intermittent / choppy audio
Intermittent or choppy audio could be a sign of a bad network connection or excessive jitter
If you experience audio issues when using GEN-IC look at the following
Moving the GEN-IC server location to be closer to the end point users (LQ, Agent-IC , Station IC)
This will reduce the overall network latency and travel time between the GEN-IC instance and the end point . Gen-IC servers are located in all the major regions of the around the world
Adjust the network quality setting on the end point device LQs, Agent -IC and Station-IC
Example LQ
High - LAN mode
Balanced - LAN / WAN mode
Low - Internet mode
Example Station IC
High - LAN mode
Balanced - LAN / WAN mode
Low - Internet mode
Link GEN-IC instances together
if you have several different Station IC / Agent IC / LQ working internationally you can look to deploy GEN-IC instances near to the users to reduce the overall network latency to the local users
A GEN-IC linked set is made of 6 devices
You could spin up GEN-IC instance Asia and have another instance in Europe
The 2x GEN-IC’s would talk to each other and the LQs would talk to their nearest GEN-IC
This would give you
2x LQs linked to the Asia Gen IC ( = 3 devices)
2x LQ linked to the Europe Gen IC ( =3 devices)
Nicely done. Simple and easy to understand
