Helixnet: Choppy audio after upgrade on HMS-4x with HBP-2X

Helixnet: Choppy audio after upgrade on HMS-4x with HBP-2X

Had an issue when upgrading our system to this firmware version (v4.5.46). Pretty straightforward system. HMS-4X with (20) HBP - 2X beltpacks. All beltpacks run over XLR cable. All beltpack users audio was extremely choppy, like extreme packet loss. I looked at the diagnostics and there was 5 - 7% collision on both powerlines with 0% errors. I tried several different things (replacing long runs of XLR, rebooting base, etc). No change. As a last ditch effort, I reverted back to the previous firmware (4.4.22.0). After the downgrade, everything was fine. No audio loss. Collision rates under 1%.

Backtracking to previous version is the work around.

Solution update Jun 12, 2025, fixed in later versions of Helixnet
