Matrix: New Install - How to Connect EHX to Eclipse Frame
The Eclipse Delta, Median and Omega frame uses an offline software called EHX to manage the system. In order to connect your PC with EHX to an Eclipse frame, you must first connect your frame to the same network and subnet as your PC.
It is important to keep your PC on the same subnet as the frame, otherwise important information will not be exchanged and it will be difficult to know if the map on your EHX software matches what is on the frame.
Once on the same subnet, go to the Layout page under System and wait for it to find your Eclipse frame.
If discovered, click the “Add Matrix to Project” button, retrieve the map from the matrix and you are on your way.
See this FAQ Which Lan Port to use to connect to a matrix frame quickly? , which describes how to quickly find the IP address of your matrix .
one you have found the IP address of your matrix set you PC to be in the same subnet as the matrix
example
Matrix IP address = 192.168.42.150 / 255.255.255.0
Set your PC to have a IP address of 192.168.42.30 / 255.255.255.0
