Description/Additional Context
All GEN-IC subscriptions are on a rolling contract and have to be cancelled by the account owner / admin
Monthly subscriptions are on a rolling contract.
Yearly subscriptions are on a rolling contract.
When a subscription is cancelled it is cancelled on the next billing cycle . SkyPort will show how many days a subscription has left
Solution
Use case 1: Auto-renewal
Whether monthly or yearly, Stripe (payment system) is configured to send a reminder to the account owner only a couple of days prior to the billing cycle renewal like this:
Use Case 2: Subscription Cancelled
The account owner / admin : has cancelled a subscription
The account owner/admin will have the possibility to renew the subscription anytime prior to the end of the subscription period. Then 7 days before the end AND 1 day before the end, ALL SkyPort users (Account owner/admin, workspace owner/admin, Gen-IC admin) will get an email notifying them of the subscription expiration coming up soon.
Here is the content of the email where XXX is either 7 or 1:

Gen-IC subscription <instance_name> in <workspace_name> will expire in XXX day(s) unless renewed or billing information is updated on http://skyport.clearcom.com . Workspace Owners, Workspace Administrators and Gen-IC Administrators have been notified.
If this is expected then please ignore this notification.

If the account owner/admin renews the subscription before the end of the cycle (yearly or monthly), everything will be back as in Use Case 1, otherwise the subscription will be deleted at the end of the billing cycle.
as an account owner / admin you can check on the status of all subscriptions by clicking in the my account link (top right hand corner of the screen), then select billing
