Unlike the LQ, Gen-IC provides a perpetual license when connecting Station-IC.

Solution

Chances are you are on an older version of Station-IC. In the application, click the question mark on the left side and About. It will give you a pop-up showing the version, you need to make sure it is on 1.4.0-build.17 or later.

This shows v 1.3.0 Build 31. This version and older will connect to Gen-IC in demo mode.
