Do you need a Station-IC license on your PC/MAC when connecting to Gen-IC?

    Do you need a local Station-IC license on your machine (PC or MAC) to connect with Gen-IC cloud.

    Solution

    Gen-IC does NOT require you to have a local license installed on your PC or MAC as the license lives in the cloud in Gen-IC.

    If your Station-IC pops up in Demo mode, first confirm the version of your Station-IC is at least v1.4.0-build.17. or later

    After that we recommend you disconnect and reconnect as it negotiates the license for the first time.
