Matrix: EHX PC and Matrix on a different VLAN
EHX PC and Matrix is on a different VLAN on the same switch and it is:
Not being discovered on Layout Page
Added manually but greyed out on the Layout Page
Possible to retrieve map and see event log status
Possible to apply map to matrix
Possible to ping the matrix frame IP address
Checked that all Windows Defender firewall settings are in place and current EHX software has been allowed
If your network setup requires the EHX PC and Matrix to sit in a different VLAN, you will need to set:
IPv4 routing > Enabled
UDP Relay/ IP Helper Configuration
Ensure that each VLAN has its own interface IP set up and the required ports assigned to the VLAN.
For e.g. on a Cisco SG350X:
Please consider carefully when setting up networks with routing required across VLANs.

You can also use a command in your Network router called IP Helper
“IP Broadcast Helper
UDP broadcasts stop at the edge of the local network. This can be a problem under some circumstances.
For example, if a server is relocated to a different network, but it needs to receive UDP broadcasts from clients, which are not being relocated.
IP Broadcast Helper can solve this problem by forwarding UDP broadcasts to a list of destination IPv4 addresses.
IP Broadcast Helper is a form of static addressing that uses directed broadcasts to forward local and all-nets broadcasts to desired destinations within the internetwork.”
or search for the associated “IP helper “ command on your router
