Matrix : Error EHX Client PC doesn't log on the EHX server PC

EHX ver# 12.4

 

ERROR : Client doesn't log on the server. appeared on windows 10 when trying to log into the server from the ehx client on the server or from another computer after an upgrade from 11.1 to 12.4

 

The following data layer error occurred: Possible file version mismatch detected between ADO.NET Provider and native binaries of SQL Server Compact which could result in an incorrect functionality. This could be due to the presence of multiple instances of SQL Server Compact of different versions or due to wrong binaries with same name as SQL Server Compact binaries. Please install SQL Server Compact binaries of matching version. Please tell Clear-Com about this problem. To help improve the software you use, Clear-Com is interested in learning more about this error. We have created a report about the error for you to send to us.

 

Solution :

 download and Install in this order on the server machine:

 

SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP2 for Windows Desktop

SSCERuntime-ENU.exe

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5783

 

then

Microsoft® SQL Server® Compact 4.0 SP1

SSCERuntime_x86-FRA.exe

or

SSCERuntime_x64-FRA.exe

(depending on you OS settings)

Restart the computer hosting the server then try to log in again
