Matrix: Can I delete the Panel Reply Key and use it as a normal intercom key?

 

Can we delete the Panel Reply Key and use as normal EHX configuration key?

Using EHX : v12.0

The answer to this question is NO, the Reply key cannot be used as normal EHX configuration key, because the Reply Key code is embedded with the Panel and the Rack code firmware.

Secondly if you delete the Reply key and override the Reply key with a new configurations label then the panel Volume button will not work.

Thirdly you will need the Reply key as a TALK BACK key, in case if you get a call from another panel which you do not have a key configuration button to that caller.
