Eclipse (HCI) API Overview
Does the Eclipse matrix have a published API
Yes Eclipse HX systems have a published API .. we refer to it as HCI (Host computer interface)
This allows automation systems like VSM , Axon, Tallyman , BNCS and others to control the routing and panel key assignments with in the Eclipse matrix
HCI is a licensed option and must be purchased
1 license per matrix is required
As this is a API the customer’s own software development engineering team are required to write their own interface (driver) to control the Eclipse matrix and send it the correct control messages as set out in the HCI manual
Along with the license the customer is required to purchase 8hrs of Clear-Com engineering time
this provides 8hrs with a Clear-Com development engineer who will guide the customers of software team on the correct process to setup the driver and what messages they should look to use to achieve their requirements
Standard EHX training is also provided
upon request it maybe possible for Clear-Com to provide the customers software development team a loan test matrix and panels to help them whilst they develop their application
