Matrix: E-IPA Licence Ticket ID usage
I ordered E-IPA-UG-16-HX (quantity: 4) and got the following,
Ticket ID: xxxx-yyyy-zzzz-aaaa-bbbb
Does it mean I can upgrade just one card or can I use the ticket ID for different cards.
I want to upgrade 2x (different) E-IPA-16 cards to become E-IPA-48 Ports.
The answer is : you can use the same ticket ID on different cards.
Ticket ID – contains the individual licenses
The individual licenses can be applied to the same or different cards
The ticket ID is a container
Inside the container are individual license codes
The license codes can be used on the same or different cards
in your example you would apply
2x E-IPA-UG-16-HX to card #1 taking it from 16 ports to 48 ports
2x E-IPA-UG-16-HX to card #2 taking it from 16 ports to 48 ports
Note: a ticket ID could contain different license types
Example
2x IPA card port upgrade
1x IPA AOIP (AES67)
1x IPA LAN redundancy
These licenses could be applied to the same or different E-IPA cards
