SIP: How do I dial out from a V-Panel using a SIP interface?

Note: The instructions below assume the matrix and the LQ-SIP device have been configured correctly.

Make sure the following has been done:

  • The matrix (frame) Port Function for the channel going to an LQ is configured as SIP-LQ

Cards and Ports
  • The LQ sip accounts are registered to the sip server

  • The LQ sip channels between the matrix and the LQ are connected. A green dot in the LQ device indicates the channel is up

  • In the LQ sip device, the LQ sip accounts and LQ-sip channels going to the frame are configured as “Directs”. This creates a one-to-one relationship

To call out from a panel:

  • On the panel, dial a 1 plus the number you wish to call. In some cases, you’ll need to dial a 9 after the 1 to get an outside line. If you have a 2RU or Desktop panel, you can use the dial path. For a 1RU panel, you’ll need to navigate the MENU options on the panel to be able to dial the required digits

  • On the panel, latch the Talk/Listen key for the SIP interface you wish to use. In the example below, it could be Phone 1 or Phone 2
