Freespeak II (FSII) No Audio

Freespeak II (FSII) No Audio

Question:

We have set up the system with one antenna and have synced all of the beltpacs.  However, two beltpacs have no audio, the user can’t hear or talk.  The other eight work as advertised.  Any thoughts?  The firmware versions match up.  We can see the beltpacs at the base station and Call indicators go through.

Answer:

There are a couple things to try.

First tip would be to change the mic detection in the beltpac role from automatic to the specific type of mic element of the headset being used. That would be either dynamic or electret. Power cycle the beltpacs after this change.

If that doesn’t work then the 2nd tip is to apply a different role that is working from one of the good beltpacs to the problem beltpac. Of course during this test the original beltpac should be off so that the role is available to try. If either of those don’t work and the firmware is confirmed to be current then the beltpacs need to be exchanged or repaired.
