Matrix: IPT antennas support daisy chaining at EHX v11.1 and later
following the release of EHX V11.1 IPT antennas now support daisy chaining
please note the following points
If the daisy chain is broken that the IPTs down the line are taken down
The max distance between IPTs when daisy chained will it be 100m
It is the same as the maximum length for Ethernet devices. You can use longer links if you use the fibre connector for daisy chaining.
Each each daisy chain is equal to 1 ETH-switch hop
It is a network hop. Each IPT has an internal ETH-switch The internal switch is configured for DiffServ QoS.Max of 3 ETHswtich hops unless using PTP enabled Boundary clocks or Transparent clock
Warning looping back to the same switch will cause a broadcast storm, doing so will create a network loop and create a broadcast storm. We don’t have STP enabled on the internal switches.
The following setup is possible but normal 3 ETH-Switch hop restriction
*All IPTs are locally powered
