Matrix : How does the Headset detect work on V-series-panels

Question : Plugging in a headset on a V-series panel automatically activates the HS-switch. Can you tell me whether this is detected on the Mic or the Headphone-pins of the headset-connector?

 

Answer : Headset detect uses the headphone impedance.

 Minimum headphone impedance is 32R – Maximum impedance is 600R.
