Clear-Com: E-IPA TO IPT / IRIS PANEL BASIC LAYER 3 ROUTING

Requires a dedicated single enterprise network:

  • LAN/ Campus/ Metro networks using dark fiber or MPLS

  • Well provisioned network with Diffserv, QoS, DSCP mapping

  • Using PTP aware (boundary clock) switches

Layer 3 routing is available from EHXv12.1 or later

When connecting IPT antennas or Iris panels to an IPA card using layer 3 routing across different subnets

  1. Either Browse into the IPT antenna CCM and manually enter static IP address + Gateway information for the unit (or use DHCP)

note - the IPT antenna requires 2x IP address (one for admin/ control the other to AES67 audio)

  1. In EHX navigate to the Transceivers tab , add the IP antenna and edit the settings to include the IP antenna IP address info
