Matrix: Can I use the Reply/Answerback key on the V-Series Rotary Panels for general use?
Question: Can I use the Reply / Answer back key position on a Rotary V-Series panel to host a standard talk / listen key to panels / interfaces / fixed group or party-line? Also what is the purpose of the "COM" label seen in the rotary panel key programming menu of ECS?
Answer: The V-Series Rotary is the first of the V-series range that allows the user to remove the reply / answer back key and assign it for general use, thus providing 12 or 24 Listen and 12 or 24 Talk display pairs per panel (1RU or 2RU). See the examples below:
