Matrix: What is the associated panel in Production Maestro and how do I use it?
What is the functional reason for the associated panel feature in Production Maestro? The associated panel function allows you to associate a intercom panel (or a mic / speaker from a 4wire port)) for use by the Production Maestro PC userWhen configured in PM PRO.. any conferences on the PM PRO screen will have a small "T" button enabled. This allows the PM PRO user to talk with all members of the conference at one time .. if the associated port is intercom panel . Then the intercom panel does not need to have a key configured to the conference
There are multiple things involved here. Pressing the T (talk) key on the conference in Production Maestro will only create a crosspoint from the associated panel to the conference.
To get this to work –you will have to do two things.Enable eavesdropping for that panel (this disables the eavesdropping gate) in Cards and Ports screen and ensure the MIC ON led is ON the panel.
