Matrix: What happens when using Production Maestro Alias names
A question about ProductionMaestro Pro:If you give a source (ifb, conf or4wire or interface ) an Alias eg “Codec 1”, will “Codec 1” appear on the corresponding buttons onconnected panels?
Answer:A Alias name is a dummy label that can be used to overwrite the normal label of a panel, conference, 4wire or interface. When a alias label is placed on top of a port name then any panels with a key to the port will see the new alias name
A Production Maestro user canconfigure Alias labels for:· Conferences· panels or · Direct/4-wire ports/ interfaces . (therefore IFB source/destinations) Example: A alias name can be draggedonto a conference on the PM PRO canvas to change the conference default EHX/ECS nameto an alias name live. The new label will appear on all panels with a key to this conference assigned to them in EHX/ECS.
