Matrix: Experiencing EHX software crash when using the panel programming screen on linked EHX 7.5 frames

Question:  I have two linked E-Pico frames running EHX 7.5, every once in a while I experience a software crash when programming panels in EHX and attempting to send the change to the frames.  Can you let me know what I might be doing wrong?
Answer:  The problem is a bug in 7.5 and earlier, fixed in 7.6.  To reproduce make a linked set of 2 matrixes. All the panels are on matrix one, and a lot of fourwires on matrix 2.  The user selects matrix 1, opens panel programming and does what ever they need to do.  Then they change to a matrix 2 that has no panels.  The panel from the original matrix is still displayed, but any changes made to the panel will cause a crash.
Upgrading the frames to version 7.6 or 8.0 will correct the issue.  The upgrade to version 7.6 is a bit easier to perform in the field on a Pico frame, it would only require a firmware upgrade to the Pico rack application.  Upgrade to version 8.0 would require MVX application firmware / FPGA xilinx upgrades and this would be best done by an applications engineer.
