Partyline: Can I connect a MS-702 to a Tempest base using XLR cable?
Yes, you can connect a Tempest base station to aMS-702 basestation via XLR cable. On the Tempest front panel you need to selectthe channels, then select “2 Wire” mode. This way audio will route via the 2-wire PL connection instead of the 4-wire port.
Note the Tempest 2wire PL connection does not provide power to the external PL (intercom) system. There must be a Clear-Com PSU unit or Master station in the external PL (intercom) system to provide power.
