Matrix: How do I install M+3 software downloaded from the Clear-Com support web page?
Archived Matrix +3 software can bedownloaded from the Clear-Com web support page, the link to the softwareis:
http://www.clearcom.com/support/matrix-plus-3-software Select and download the version required (version 2.2.1 inthis case), the download is packaged in a zip folder labeled “M+3 V2.2.1PGM_WIN and Firmware complete”, use Win-zip or Win RAR to unzip into a new filefolder named Matrix 3. After unzipping the file you should have 6 separately zippedfiles, these were originally intended for floppy disk installation,
but sinceno one uses floppies anymore we have to unzip all these files into the Matrix 3 folderto enable an installation onto the PC.
So using Win-zip or Win RAR unzipall five software install compressed files (MX3_PgmWin_v221_Disk1.exe thru MX3_PgmWin_v221_Disk5.exe) into the Matrix 3 file folder. After successfullyperforming this on all 5 software disks
do the same for the firmware compressedfile (MX3_Firmware_v22_000530.exe). Once this is done remove the originaldownloaded zip file and the 6 compressed floppy zip.exe files from the Matrix 3folder. You should now have about 38 files in this folder. Look for the “Setup.exe” file and double click on it to start the installationprocess.
Reboot the PC after the install and you should have M+3 matrixsoftware ready to use.
