IP Products: Can I remote out a couple of Encore PL beltpacks using LQ-2W2 interfaces?
IP Products: Can I remote out a couple of Encore PL beltpacks using LQ-2W2 interfaces?
Question: I need to add another person to an existing standard party-line system. The current system includes a 4-channel main station, 4-channel remote stations, and 2-channel beltpacks. All of these components are limited to within 200 feet of each other and are contained to one 700 seat church auditorium.
We are wanting to add another one or two beltpacks (1 or 2 channels)...but this user would be located in another building across the parking lot. We need to know if there is a distance limitation for using the standard analog wiring…or if we need to look at an over IP solution for this user. We have network capabilities in this building and could use this as an option.
Answer: If you have IP connectivity at both locations the LQ-2W2 interface would be the easiest solution. The LQ interfaces can bridge two channels of 2-wire or 4-wire across ethernet and the remote LQ interface can directly power the one or two beltpacks using its power supply. Very low latency and no need to run audio cable across the street to support the remote beltpacks. Software is web browser based and accessed by using typing in an IP address assigned to each LQ interface. See diagram below.
