Wireless: Can I connect a TW-47 directly to a Tempest Base Station in Master Mode?
Question: I'm considering using a TW-47 2-way radio interface connected directly to a Tempest 2400 base station 2-wire Party-line connector and running the TW-47 from the base station in Master Mode and triggering the TW-47 from a Tempest beltpack call signal activation. Can I do this?
Answer: The current draw of the TW-47 typically is 40 to 60 mA with a 20 - 30 Vdc voltage input. This should be an acceptable current drain on a single Tempest 2400 base station in master mode (no other items should be connected to the PL connectors at this point). See the drawing below for connections / wiring.
Ensure that the Tempest BP are configured to have the "Call on talk" feature enabled
