Partyline: Can the KB-702 talk switch be permanently enabled to the "On" position?

Partyline: Can the KB-702 talk switch be permanently enabled to the "On" position?

Question:  I need modification instructions to mod a KB-702 to permanently latch on the TALK button. Customer will only be using the KB-702 with a HS-6 and wants to only use the trigger switch on the handset to talk with. They want the KB-702 "TALK" button permanently latched on.
Answer:  The modification shown below to the KB-702 circuit board will permanently enable the talk switch to the “on” activated state, this will allow the operator to key the talk path on / off using the HS-6 handset button or a PT-7 handmic.
The modification drawing shows the user how to solder an insulated wire jumper between the two solder pads shown with the orange arrows.
Please note that performing the modification can void the warranty on the KB-702 if the modification is not performed correctly / damages the pcb.
The drawing is also attached below as a PDF document.
