The CCT-RT-EX is a small, externally powered box that extends the distance between a Tempest CCT-RT or CCT-9RT Remote Transceiver and a Tempest 900 or 2400 BaseStation. Normal distance limit between a BaseStation and Remote Transceiver is 1500 ft (450m). 
The Extenders connect to the base or Remote antenna using straight 1:1 CAT5 cable.   
Each additional CCT-RX-EX inserted inline, will increase the range by 3000ft (914m) with one Line Extender or 2000ft (609m) per Line Extender if using more than one Line Extender.  Up to three CCT-RT-EX can be used with a BaseStation and Remote Transceiver for a total line length of up to 7500 ft (2286m).
Example: using 3 ExtendersBase <2000ft> EXT-1 <2000ft> EXT-2 <2000ft> EXT-3 <1500ft>CCT-RT
Example: using 1 ExtenderBase <3000ft> EXT-1 <1500ft>CCT-RT
The Line Extender module is weather resistant and sealed for outdoor use.  The connectors are rugged and lockable weather proof to help prevent cabled from being accidentally unplugged.
